Top 12 among 184 entries worldwide, a recording artist, singer, writer, producer, and a protégé of David Foster. Mark Lapid Mabasa’s portfolio of shows and events is genuinely world-class and has been proven successful locally and internationally.

Kayla Tejero

Chicago, IL


Kayla is a FilAm music talent from Chicago, IL. She has won numerous talent competitions since age 10, including placing 3rd at the State of Illinois Talent Competition, besting over 45 talents across the state. Kayla has performed in 9 US states including Toronto, Canada. Kayla is 23 years old, a Registered Nurse by profession, a Columnist-Writer for a FilAm newsmagazine in Chicago and a ramp Model. Kayla runs a monthly column that features dreams and aspirations of college students. Kayla graces charitable events for free to help raise funds for projects that benefit the social and cultural causes of the Filipino American community in the US and back home. At age 16, she was invited to the private auditions of The Voice USA and America’s Got Talent held in Chicago.


Michelle Guerra

San Antonio, TX

 

Michelle started singing in her elementary school days for contests and intermissions. In her high school days, Michelle joined singing competitions at school and around her town to earn money (from cash prizes). In her college days, she pursued her musical inclination by joining a chorale group that gave her scholarship to help with her tuition and other fees. Being part of the chorale group greatly improved her vocal abilities, performance skills and singing techniques. Michelle was involved in group singing competitions and she performed at numerous paid events. In her employable years, Michelle continued to participate in singing competitions and won some major awards. Singing became a passion for Michelle, and she loved sharing it with the world. She believes that her talent is all God’s grace.

Mark Kenneth Ones

Beaumont, TX

 

Mark started his music journey in the 3rd grade as a member of the choir until he became a teacher. He joined singing competitions in school, and barangay amateur singing contests. Growing up, Mark shifted from performing to organizing singing contests to find venues for other music enthusiasts. These opportunities enhanced Mark’s leadership skills. He said “Aside from being a leader, I really love performing. This is why I am very active when the teachers need to showcase our talents. Singing makes me more passionate about teaching Mathematics because I use music to engage my students in my class activities.” Mark’s music journey continued when he migrated to the US. He became the singing champion of the Southeast Texas Rising Star competition organized by the Philippine Association of Beaumont Texas. Mark performed the song, “Hanggang” by Wency Cornejo as suggested by his wife, and his way of sharing the true meaning of love: my love for my family, my friends, my loving wife, and God, our loving Father.”

Kathryn Rose

Houston, TX

 

Kathryn Rose is a 24-year-old Singer/Songwriter/Actress born and raised in Houston, Texas. She started performing on stage at the age of 6 and competed in IMTA 2007 (International Modeling & Talent Association) in Los Angeles, California. After IMTA, she pursued an acting career in the Commercial/Film industry as a child. Kathryn began writing her original music at 13 and released her very first single shortly after. Since then, she has released several singles and an EP titled "Follow Your Heart" under the Pop/R&B genre with the hopes of spreading positivity and describes her songs as "feel good music". Kathryn is a proud Filipina American and aspires to break through the Pop/R&B industry as a young Asian-American and represent her community. Kathryn was the very first winner of Fiesta Ko Sa Texas' first ever singing competition in 2014 and is very excited to perform at Fiesta Ko Sa Texas 2024!

Jocelyn Baucom

San Antonio, TX

 

Jocelyn joined the music scene in South Texas when she became a finalist at the FIl-Am Superstar competition in Houston. She won second place at the Northwest Vista College Got Talent in San Antonio, TX. Jocelyn performed as opening acts to Filipino artists who have concerts in San Antoni These include Jaya, Paul Sapiera (Rockstar Band), and comedians: Alex Calleja, Rex Navarette and Kuya Jobert. Jocelyn also performs for huge community events, which include The Greatest Showdown - a showcase of Filipino artists from San Antonio, Kelly Airfield Christmas Gift Giving Event for military families, and repeated guesting at Houston’s Fiesta Ko Sa Texas. Jocelyn performed solo at the San Antonio’s Riverwalk Arneson Theater - Christmas Carol, and Passion for Fashion by K-Brothers Foundation to benefit Filipinos back home. Jocelyn is a member of San Antonio’s all-female group, SweetHeartz.
