One of the most anticipated and biggest events among Filipino Americans in Lubbock, Texas is the basketball tournament that started already on May 5th and will run until June 30th of this year. The goal of the tournament is to bring together various teams from the growing FilAm community in Lubbock. There are six teams participating in this weekly tournament, and they are: Adoboys, Lubbock, Tirador, Uhaw Team 1, Uhaw Team 2, and Ulbo. Also known as the Monday Group, the tournament was originally formed last year. The tournament continues to be hosted at Premier Sportsflex in Lubbock, TX and is chaired by Mr. Edwin Hernandez.
